The Art & Science of “Practicing Presence”
Beginner’s mind is a term used in Zen that provides us to see each moment as new, fresh, and alive. The greatest addiction we have as humans is to our history. It is here where we carry the density of the past and project it into our present moment through conversations and stories. The present moment is the unknown. When we develop the skill to view each moment through our meditative mind we lighten the heaviness from the past. The art of listening through the beginner’s mind will dissolve the minds need to control or grasp to the impermanence of life. Here we can meet life just as it is, which will make room for the wholeness of our being.
